Happy little hooves

Sometimes, even moms need helpers. When a mother animal can’t take care of her babies, zoo keepers step in to feed and nurture the youngsters.

A little TLC

At the Safari Park, the  Animal Care Center specializes in providing TLC (tender loving care) for the little ones—and it’s an important job the keepers love. Sometimes, the baby animals need frequent feedings and that means lots of bottles to be filled and then washed. Keepers also make sure to keep track of weight, height, and other important animal care information.

"Kid" stuff

In this video, you can check out some happy little hoofed "kids" in our day (and night) care center—steenbok, wapiti, and Soemmerring's gazelles—and even see them kick up their heels!
